Want to be a Nurse?
Dr. Cynthia Clark and her research assistant/senior nursing student, Julianne Peters, RN, teamed up at the November 2006 National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) convention in Atlanta, GA. Julianne Peters has been Dr. Clark's research assistant for the past two years and the duo collaborated to conduct a presentation entitled, "Our Rewarding Journey of Faculty/Student Mentoring." This student/faculty team related the story of their rewarding journey together in a mentoring partnership in pursuit of scholarly activity, research, and preparation for graduate education. The team shared their personal experiences, 'gems and pearls,' and lessons learned through their mentorship experience.
