Hi Tim,
Nice shirt. I'm from the same place it is...San Jose/Santa Cruz. Maybe you can help me with some "peer advising".
I'm an EMT-1 (CA) and have taken several med. asst. classes and Anatomy, Physio and Micro at San Jose City College. I also have an AA- gen. ed. complete. Am interested in applying to BSU Nursing school. I need a little guidance as to how to get started and to develop an ed. plan. Questions:
1. Aren't there special sessions going on for prospective students to understand how the process works and how to get started?
2. Any core courses for nursing school taught via distance learning?
3. If I got an RN (@TVCC maybe?) how much more would I have to do for my Bachelor's?
This is my 1st time to try a blog so I hope you get it then I can find you again. Anyway, thank you for being there. Best of luck to you in your endeavors and if you ever get to Santa Cruz may the breeze off the bay be gentle and at your back. Nancy
Nancy,
The best way to for us to answer questions and peer advise online is via e-mail, phone, or IM. I am glad that you found our blog page. All of our contact information is on the department of nursing webpage nursing.boisestate.edu .

Hi Tim,
Thanks for answering. I finally got through to the dept. and got the info I was looking for. It helped to be able to talk with you a little - I hope things go well for you. IM is interesting but (a little embarrased to admit) I don't know how to do it. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a dinosaur.
Anyway, best of luck and thanks again. Nancy
Hi Tim,
Do You know when the letters of acceptance will be going out for the nursing program, this year?
Thanks,
Jo
